Pro tools. Every palette color now opens a card you can tune in OKLCH and check for contrast, PickHue can read a whole page’s palette in one action, and the eyedropper averages an area instead of a single pixel.

Color Card

Every swatch in a palette opens a card: OKLCH tune sliders with gradient tracks and a thumb that wears the current color, the 10-step shades & tints ramp, and the actions that used to be scattered. Ramp steps stage when you tap them and commit together with your tuned color under a single Add — nothing is written to the palette until you say so.

Contrast checker

Inside the Color Card, collapsed until you want it: WCAG ratios with AAA / AA / AA·L grades against white, black, and every other color in the palette — recalculating live as you move the sliders. Accessible pairs stop being guesswork.

Palette from this page

The sparkle action in Saved Palettes gathers the colors a page actually uses, grouped by role — backgrounds, text, and borders — with near-duplicates merged perceptually so anti-aliased variants collapse into one swatch. Toggle what to keep, name it, save.

Area-average sampling

Press S while picking to cycle 1×1, 3×3 and 5×5 averaging, and the reticle grows to cover exactly the pixels being sampled. Gradients, photos and text edges give you the color you meant instead of whichever pixel you landed on.

Copy as anything

Right-click any swatch for a menu of live values: HEX, RGB, HSL and OKLCH, plus the new LCH, OKLAB and HWB. All seven are available as the global format too.

Faster, sharper picking

The eyedropper opens instantly — the screen capture now races the overlay instead of blocking it. At the edges of the screen the loupe clips like a physical lens, keeping the reticle on the exact edge pixel while the value chip stays readable.

Quality of life

Clear your recent colors from a hover-revealed action in the header — undoable from the toast, with no confirm dialog in the way. Editor swatch badges are easier to hit, and the panel no longer shifts height when recents empty out.
